Ganguly : What is Cricket?

Saurav Ganguly once used to be a cricketer. A cricketer who went on blasting shots, a cricketer whom bowlers feared, yes, that was Saurav Ganguly, whom we have paid the last tribute a long time ago, nowadays, the person who tells himself as Saurav Ganguly is not him, he is actually a clone duplicate who does not even know the answer to the question – “Ganguly, what is cricket?

Once upon a time, Ganguly used to play really good, and right now at this point of time, we can say that yeah, Ganguly is not a good player anymore like he used to be at one time, also we can say that the ruins can tell that the building used to be young.

At this specific point of time me and many more of you must have noticed a thing that Mr. Ganguly has forgot how to use his bat or how tossing it even, the only thing that seems to have overcome his memory is to how to get out and how to play the political influence of board into the proceedings of team. The one and only perfection he currently has. He knows all the different ways of getting out, be it on side or off side. He is the one guy who knows all the tips and tricks and techniques of getting out. The Nature is always alarming and warming by the effect of upcoming problem, that is why the Ganguly has opened the Cricket academy, now he will be the first trainee of that.

But then, today, Ganguly has really forgot that what was or is cricket and how it is played. He has forgot all the line length and bounce basics. Along with the skyscraping sixes he used to hit. Nowadays the Ball seems to be a beast to him which once used to garland him by being hit for fours and sixes. also we must not forget the fact that in all the recent matches, this guy has done nothing but to score under 20 and under 30., which does not go with the standard of a player like him.

But what standard, are we emphasizing on about here? Ganguly is not the one which he used to be, neither is he of the same stature anymore which bought him to the Captain spot of India. In short he has totally forgotten what cricket should mean, also Ganguly is currently being retained as a captain only to give heed to the fact that there is no option available, but if we are drinking poison because we don’t have water, you can imagine what fools we are.

Should this be taken as the supposedly good captaincy of Ganguly? Or well, the association of Ganguly with some people who know him by childhood? Whatever the case may be, one thing can be concluded from every ball Ganguly faces, every time he gets out, every time he miscues a ball and every time he makes India lose a match, that he is not fit for the rigor of cricket.

Ganguly is one person of his kind. He plays bad, which strengthens his position in team even more, because he is keen to make the world record of being the biggest (match) loser, my humble appeal to the BCCI would be to kindly give Ganguly a rest and let him play the state level cricket so that he can improve, removing other good players to make room for Ganguly would be a no profit suggestion, it will only make the new players confidence lose.

Therefore, Ganguly, please leave the International cricket, until you become capable of it. Of course you have been a great batsman but that is in the past, not in the present, to make the little bit of future bright, kindly give your very own self a little break.

Trying out new players is never bad. But players whose faces seem as if asking the question “What is cricket” are not capable of the game and should not be got in the same.
